“Building Bridges” is the compilation of thoughts and ideas I considered for my senior thesis. The phrase “burning bridges” refers to the destruction of relationships, fully and completely. However, in modern times, people are more disconnected from each other than ever before. Thus, there proves a need to build bridges rather than break them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This book of delvings began with exploratory design exercises and research that ultimately led me down the path of building bridges. As a graphic designer, I sought to come up with creative, interactive solutions that brought together the local community. I came up with related terms, project outlines, and timelines that would theoretically make “Building” Bridges work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While my senior thesis drastically changed course from what was outlined in this book, the journey of its creation and ideas folded into its pages are carried with me to this day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
