Ever since I was young, I had a pencil in hand, constantly drawing. Creating was a key part in expressing myself and my interests as I grew up in my hometown of Raleigh, NC. In high school, I had the opportunity to take a Digital Design I class which opened my eyes to the world of digital art and all its possibilities.
Enamored with what I could do with my newfound digital art skills, I decided to study graphic design at Appalachian State University. There, I developed a broad range of skills and exposure to different types of design, ranging from book publications to illustration to user interface development. I learned that graphic design is not simply the give-and-take of a design product. Rather, the design process relies on the human connection between the client and the designer to create something truly meaningful. Thus, I highly value listening to the the needs of the client and paying attention to the small details that make a project stand out.
